Partners in Action – Plastic Free Pledgers
In early June last year, Food Plymouth CIC and many members of the Food Plymouth partnership and network signed pledges of support for the Plastic Free Plymouth Sound campaign and the Plastic Free Waterfront Plymouth initiative. This was a watershed moment in a long-standing preceding process involving partners including Surfers Against Sewage, Environment Plymouth, the National Marine Aquarium, Plymouth Waterfront Partnership, Transition Plymouth, Plymouth City Council and many others. On Wednesday 19th December 2018, several members of the Food Plymouth partnership and network, including Claire Turbutt of Thrive Plymouth, Pat Bushell of Transition Plymouth, Brad Pearce of CATERed, Sheila Evans of Plymouth Unitarian Church (pictured), along with Ian Smith of Food Plymouth CIC, were presented with certificates in recognition of their organisations’ pledges and actions in support of the Plastic Free campaign. The event was held at the city’s Duke of Cornwall Hotel and was hosted by Environment Plymouth. |
